Christ Loves the Church
How do you measure the value of your church?
Christ loves His church. This is certainly true of the church worldwide with its billions of members and its incredible diversity but it is also true of the local church of which you are a part. How do we know that He loves your church? Paul in Ephesians says that God showed that love by giving Himself for the church.
Last week we began to look at the illustration that Paul used to describe Christ’s love for the church. In this video, we will look at the first of four truths about Christ and the church that will give us a biblical standard by which we can measure our church’s value. It isn’t the numbers or the programs or the budget. It is the church’s relationship with Jesus Christ.
As you watch this video, do so with an open heart, because you might have to change your perspective on the value of your church.
True Value
Christ is always the measure of everything in our Christian walk. As individuals, we don’t earn points for what we do. Rather we receive grace in spite of what we may do. This is also true of our church. We don’t acquire value because of what we do but because we are the recipients of Christ’s loving grace.
