Consider and answer the following questions:

      • What funerals have you participated in?  What aspects were healthy?  What was unhealthy or unhelpful in making space for people to grieve?
      • Is it always essential to preach the Gospel at a funeral (especially if the deceased was not a Christian?)  Why or why not?

Actually i have not officiated a funeral service before.

Thats why i am learning, by the help of the Holy Spirit, to be equipped for the work ahead.

I’ve officiated memorial service before. First we need to talk to the family and what service they preferred.

It’s a good opportunity to share the gospel of hope . If they invited you to minister, they know you’re a Pastor, usually, they expect for you to share the Love of Christ.

Make sure it is short and simple message of salvation and eternity.
