Practices helpful in self-care;[1] You are human.[2] Jesus is the saviour.[3] Remember Mary.[4] Family is also discipling.[5] Get Help.
Ways to give pastoral care with positive experiences are; 1. Decide how often you feel people need a pastoral visit/call. [2.] Recruit people gifted in caring and generally good in conversation or are good lay leaders.[3] Divide the contact list of church members between the team.[4] Review and see how its going.
Just as the word is part of the proclamation aspect of the prophetic office, so too is the ministry of presence.
