ACOP Narrative Commentary

When people become very passionate about a belief they have, they have to be careful not to let that passion taint the intention of an organization. By clearly defining the difference between core beliefs and personal belief there are clear guardrails to keep an organization on track.
I am familiar with the ACOP statement of faith and reviewed the narrative commentary that goes along with it. The narrative commentary helps to clarify some of the points of the statement of faith and is a valuable tool for understanding.

- It’s important to make distinctions between core beliefs and personal beliefs, etc., because it could lead to a lot of confusion, disunity, and misleading others if one focuses too much on the less important issues.
- I am familiar with the ACOP’s statement of faith, and I have read through the Narrative Commentary. It was very helpful and is a good learning tool.

</div>It is very important to distinguish between core belief, doctrinal distinctives, personal belief and personal opinion so individual can have different encounter with Jesus. Individual relationship as we study the Bible , Jesus meet with us in different ways. ”All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.“ 2 Timothy 3:16-17 As we study the word of God, we need to have a personal encounter with God and we know what we stand in our faith.
I am familiar with ACOP statement of faith or the 16 Fundamental truth of the Assemblies of God. I’ve seen the Narrative commentary to help understand better of the Doctrine. What we believe.
