Lesson 6 – The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

As I grow and mature in Christ the gifts grow and mature as well. Do in proportion to your faith…

I’m definitely familiar with the 9 gifts of the spirit.

I have heard of the word of knowledge, prophecy, speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues, talked about most.

I believe i carry some of these gifts, thank God for this grace.

I currently operate in the word of knowledge and prophecy.

I desire to grow in speaking of tongues.

I am familiar with the gifts of the Spirit, but admittedly less-so than I’d like to be. I struggle to list them all offhand if asked, basically, but I recognize each of them when reading a list or having a discussion.

Most often I hear about healing, I think. I also think that that is probably a common answer given that there tends to be a lot of emphasis on healing in Pentecostal churches.

I do believe that I carry some of these gifts, but not all, and I also don’t typically draw attention to them because I worry about becoming too prideful or boasting about my talents too much.

I believe that I am currently strong in the revelation gifts – word of knowledge, word of wisdom, and discernment of spirits.

Is it a cop out to say that I’d like to grow in all of them? Probably. So my answer instead is that ideally, I would like to grow in both speaking and interpretation of tongues, as well as healing.
