A key tip for reading the Bible well is paying attention to context. When reading the gospels, pay attention to where an episode fits in the narrative, what stories go before and after it, and if it contributes to a repeated theme.

    1. Is there an episode in the gospels that once you understood the context, the story made more sense or became more meaningful?
    2. What rules for reading have helped you read the gospels well? What helpful advice have you received?
