I agree that leadership development is a critical part of growth, but to identify and be strategic about creating opportunities for next gen leaders to participate meaningfully in our churches is likely the key for older congregations. Not only that, but just to identify the strategy is not enough, we need to be very willing to step aside and make room for the next generation, and learn from the process.

It’s hard to nail down one when they all are very crutial.. but having said that, I’d say leadership development as without good leadership, there will not be longevity or sustainability in any area.

I believe that all of these are intertwined and most beneficial in collaboration with each other; however, if I have to choose one, I would say without effective leadership, none of these things could function very well. Effective leadership is the glue that holds healthy organizations together.

I believe these all go together and each have a different way to help develop and release effective leaders and create healthy churches. Personally, if I had to choose one, I would choose Next Gen Ministries. I've been part of a Next Gen Team for almost 15 years now and I've seen first hand how when we walk beside our youth and help them to develop their faith, that faith becomes stronger. When we give them opportunities that they may not get elsewhere, things like service opportunities, leadership opportunities, they become empowered and bolder in what they want to do. That is what we want in effective leaders…Bold and empowered people who are willing to dream big.
