I think that the key part for the disciples being ordinary men that did not have training had so much to do with the fact that they did spend time with Jesus. Early Pentecostals were paving the way, and they had to be their own teachers – diving into the Word without formal educators. Now, I definitely see an uprise in people attending Bible College to either build or strengthen their foundation in Christ. I think that Bible College also serves as way to help people learn how to be with Jesus. I personally know many people that have attended a Bible College not for the basis of working in a ministry context, but for the bonus of strengthening their relationship with Jesus Christ.

I believe Acts 4:13 could be used to describe the early Pentecostals. The early apostles were unschooled in rabbinic traditions and yet when the Holy Spirit came upon them He led them into all truth bringing glory to Jesus. Likewise, many of the early pentecostals were not students and graduates of the religious orders of their day. Yet, when they received the gift of Holy Spirit, He began to lead them into truth, bringing glory to Jesus. I think this is somewhat less true of Pentecostals today.

I have understood that the Baptism of Holy Spirit is a gift given to believers to add power to their witness. Yes, my beliefs line up with the video.

Acts 4:13, could also be used to describe the early Pentecostals because this is the promise of God. He is the same yesterday today and forever. ""And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days." ‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬ ; Acts 1:8 " but you will recieve power, when the Holy Spirit comes upon you..The baptism of the Holy Spirit is lined up with what is being presented.

Yes I believe it applies to the early pentecostal and those of us today, because the Holy Spirit comes on us in power, and the power is for purpose.. to preach the Gospel with signs and wonders following
