Its important because it establishes and confirms that you’re not a one man show who is not accountable to anyone for anything being done or said. When credentialed, it confirms that you are part of, and abide by, a certain set of rules and standards and maintain a specific belief.

It makes it clear who you are standing with, accountable to, what you believe and also that youre legitimate since there is a process behind being credentialed, its not just a matter of paying for a title, its a process of proving leadership and calling.

Respond in paragraph format to the following prompt(s):

• In the interview clip with Stan Powers, he said that credentialling “defined the relationship” between ACOP and the credential holder. Why is that important?
• What are the benefits of holding Credentials with ACOP?

The importance of credentialling according to Stan Powers, it is the formalizing relationship. “I’m in”. Building accountability and relationship. Same thing if you love a person, you’re committed to one another. Taking the full responsibility in your commitment in Gods call in your life.

The benefits in holding credentials, you’re not alone. You are building relationship with the same vision and mission which is to serve the Lord. You’re joining a team and be a part of the team.

Defining relationships allows for agreement to engage or disengage from relationship. If the terms of relationship are clearly understood and communicated then all parties involved are powerful to make powerful choices whether to engage in relationship or disengage. This allows for preservation of vision, mission and culture. Unity is strengthened through well defined relationships. Well defined relationships can work together in synergy. Accountability and relationship are the benefits of holding Credentials with ACOP.

1. It is important in the credentialing process to “define the relationship” between the applicant and the ACOP because it gives a certain level of accountability and provides clarity to both parties about the common goals shared by both parties. It is not good to have a relationship that is not defined as this can lead to awkwardness or confusion about roles, but credentialling defines the responsibility and relational roles between all members.

2. The benefits of holding credentials with ACOP are that it is like a “stamp of approval” by a certified organization that can say that the individual is trustworthy. It is helpful to have in any ministerial role as it shows that the individual has been checked and put through a process to check their trustworthiness. It also serves as a network to connect you with other individuals in ministry.
