Jesus teachings on fasting gives understanding of the importance of fasting. I love this as I feel it is necessary when following Christ. As we are in a world were being busy is encouraged and the swirl of negativity can be ever more swirling around. Fasting for me is quieting the world to hear the voice of Jesus. Humbling myself and redirecting my thoughts and time. It is saying to Jesus I am listening – I am here use me.
