Read and respond to the following reflection questions:

    1. What other questions do you have about Paul's letters to the Thessalonians? Any tips that have helped you understand these epistles better?
    2. We read these texts from a different position than the Thessalonians. They wonder if the second coming has happened while we wonder when it's going to happen. Paul taught them in person and through letters while we only have Paul's letters. They suffer intense persecution, even unto death while in Canada, we don't know that level of persecution. Yet, the message to us is the same — Jesus's return is a reason for hope and our call is to imitate Jesus. Do you live in light of the end? Is your life permeated by the hope of resurrection? How is the Spirit leading you to think rightly about Jesus's return and your own suffering?

    1. What other questions do you have about Paul's letters to the Thessalonians? Any tips that have helped you understand these epistles better? (Paul’s teachings in the First Epistle to the Thessalonians are primarily focused on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ)
