-
ACOP can be classified as a movement. The many organizations connected with ACOP add to the fellowship. Programs like United Youth Outreach and Street Invaders. It is a culture that runs through many different generations. As a student at Eston College, I get the privilege of meeting other people who have also attended FGBI and FGBC in the past years. When I meet people in ACOP circles I feel I have family regardless if we know each other or not.

From what I have experienced by attending Eston College I would agree that ACOP is a movement. I have had the privilege of serving, working with, and visiting many ACOP churches in the last few years and what is described as a movement is exactly what I have witnessed and experienced.

As discussed in the lecture, ACOP has chosen to function as a fellowship. However, it was also mentioned that the founders of ACOP desires that it will become a movement. It was mentioned also that ACOP does not step in a situation unless invited by a church. Someday, for some “affiliates” that do not have a proper functioning system, ACOP may be needed to step in (even without invitation) to mitigate, especially for serious matters that could affect/hard the church in many ways. This function is for accountability purposes (as I’ve seen many churches and leaders who behave and live like a pagan, and they feel they are “untouchables” because they have no accountability organization).

I would consider the ACOP as a movement. As we allow the Lord to knit us together in unity that movement will increase in momentum and impact!
