As discussed in the lecture, ACOP has chosen to function as a fellowship. However, it was also mentioned that the founders of ACOP desires that it will become a movement. It was mentioned also that ACOP does not step in a situation unless invited by a church. Someday, for some “affiliates” that do not have a proper functioning system, ACOP may be needed to step in (even without invitation) to mitigate, especially for serious matters that could affect/hard the church in many ways. This function is for accountability purposes (as I’ve seen many churches and leaders who behave and live like a pagan, and they feel they are “untouchables” because they have no accountability organization).

I would consider the ACOP as a movement. As we allow the Lord to knit us together in unity that movement will increase in momentum and impact!

I think it is a fellowship for sure. As I get to know more ACOP churches I’m getting to know more likeminded people with shared purpose and values. I’m excited to lock arms and create change together- that will feel more like a movement!
