4.1 Prison Epistles
Read and respond to the following reflection questions:
- We tend to read texts as individuals. When we see the word "you," we tend to think it's singular, not plural. Yet, a lot of the time in Paul's epistles, he's talking to you plural. How does this impact how you read Scripture? How does it tie in with the themes we've seen of unity and love? Ask the Spirit to guide you as you meditate on this.
- The Ephesian church needed to be reminded of the good news of Jesus's victory. We may not have the exact same fears of powers as they did, but our world needs to hear this good news too! What people and contexts do you think need to hear the good news of Jesus's victory?
