2 Peter 1: 3-8, such a wonderful passage, one that encourages us to live holy and godly lives. We also have a part to play, it’s not going to be easy to crucify and bury your old self. If you succeed, good, we actually need the help of the Holy Spirit to make it happen.

God has blessed us with all the traits we need to live holy and a godly life.

Tap into these traits, trust and believe absolutely in God to benefit from His grace.

Such a beautiful passage, one that encourages me to poses these wonderful characteristics/traits! But something that stuck out to me was that there is some work to it, it’s not going to be easy to crucify and bury your old self. It is very amazing once you do it, it’s just not always easy. God has provided us with all the equipment that we need to live a godly life. It also says in the beginning of verse 5 ” for this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith (and then lists all the traits).” That really stuck out to me because we need to try, and it’s something that we should desire and long for. We need to strive to be better and live godly lives.
