I have definitely experienced a holy disconnect in me in the past as well as currently. As I was growing up we didn’t have a lot so we lived in a bad neighborhood where there was lots of homeless people and kids on the streets. And whenever we would see somebody by a Tim’s my mom would say that we have more than they have even if we didn’t have that much. But with god he has provided a a lot of things for us and believe that everybody deserves to be treated well and taking care of no matter who they are what they’ve done and where they’ve been. So I think my holy disconnect involves helping out homeless people or just people in need. And even before I’d seen homeless people or whatever I was definitely called to help out people wherever I could and I definitely think that may be the reason why I’m called to missionary type work as well as a pastoral figure. But I need to wait and be patient for what God has for me.

@mharraway thanks for this answer. It reminds me of the passage from 1 John 3:17-18: “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?”
It is evident that God’s love is in you and that the compassion of Christ is real in your life.

Holy discontent hmmm – it is like holy fire in me – ha ha – there is a video give me your eyes by Brandon Heath – God has put in my heart to help – because we DONT know the burden people carry-but seeing this video makes me want to help more – just by building up people – letting them know there value – they are beautifully and wonderfully made – stepping bravely into a spot where Jesus wants me to go – to even say hi- but more importantly to love on all as he did – tricky sometimes

Yes, I have sensed a Holy Discontent in the past and now. I was writing out now what that Holy Discontent is: People who are deceived and in Darkness. People who are not living out to be all that God has created them to be. I realized that I can sum up my Holy Discontent by simply saying: People who are lost.

I feel for women in bad situations, homeless, abused, trafficked, confused, any situation that keeps them from seeing themselves as Jesus sees them.
