Respond to the following questions as you reflect on this topic.
- Have you ever been confused by one of Jesus's parables in Luke?
- Revisit that parable and think about it in context and about its message of God's kingdom. Do you hear what Jesus is saying better? How does that challenge you?
- As the Spirit is at work in Luke, everybody breaks out in prayer and worship. Is there a scene in Luke that brings you to your knees? How does this encourage you in your life as a Spirit-filled disciple?

- Have you ever been confused by one of Jesus's parables in Luke? ( Luke 8:10) that the reason He speaks in parables is so that the people will "see but not see, hear but not hear."
- Revisit that parable and think about it in context and about its message of God's kingdom. Do you hear what Jesus is saying better? How does that challenge you? ( The Bible is a tool to lead us into a relationship with God and the parables are a tool to lead us into a relationship with Jesus.)
- As the Spirit is at work in Luke, everybody breaks out in prayer and worship. Is there a scene in Luke that brings you to your knees? How does this encourage you in your life as a Spirit-filled disciple? (When Jesus implies that the Lord is willing to speak to Gentiles—those outside of God’s chosen people—the Nazarenes react with violent anger)
