Number 4 related to missionary work. Missionaries could be fortified with a more official representation if they faced challenges in various countries. The ACOP charter recognized by the Canadian government carried influence.

Number seven is interesting in that it leaves room for expanded vision. Projects and ministries (and more!) that had not been imagined yet. The way it is worded creates room for the ACOP to not be limited or boxed in as an organization.

I find #2 fascinating. Having property is so important! In the summer you would have the logistics of tent ministry to figure out, but costs would be relatively low. However, in this part of the world you need a long term solution or your church dies out every winter. You would need to commit to a mortgage long term, and having an organization to back this would prevent the pastor needing to use personal credit in order to procure such a large loan. I’ve never been a part of a church plant from the very beginning, but these logistical details must be such a hindrance without a structured organization for guidance and support.

@KarryMac good answer. I’m struck by how the tool we are using right now, ECO, furthers this mission in digital format. We are grateful for the money that was given by donors to make this possible.
