Jesus says in Mark 1:15 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

    1. How can you respond to this statement with your life if you already have faith in Jesus? What does repent and believe look like for those already pursuing God?

    Respond in paragraph format.

To follow Jesus, is to repent daily. One of my favourite verses is Luke 9:23:

“Then he said to the crowd, ‘If any of you wants to be my followers, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”

I love that verse because it’s such a direct answer from Jesus, but it’s done in love. God has always given us free will but since the time of the fall we’ve been broken. When we follow Jesus, it’s a choice everyday to follow his ways not ours. So everyday we must repent of our own ways and follow Christ.

To believe in Jesus and accept him as Lord and Savior. To repent and believe…to me that looks like choosing to be a follower of Jesus. To lay down you life to carry your cross and be the hands and feet of Jesus. To share the Good News to others so they to can experience true life. To repent, to ask for forgiveness and to let go of the old ways and turn to your new life as a Christ Follower.
