When I was growing up, my family went to church, once in a blue moon, when we did go it was confusing and the service was not in English, so I did understand what was going on. A few years back I encounter Jesus when my step dad got into a motorcycle accident he got t-boned, on his way to church, he survived. God showed me faith, prayer, patience’s.

What is an obstacle for you to encounter God?
Fear of correction, fear that my kids wont walk with Jesus' will.
In your encounters with Jesus, what was God showing you?
In my encounter with Jesus, he is showing me to trust God, Prov.3:5,6.
He is showing me that apart from him, we can't do nothing. Laying everything in his hands. Through prayer and reading his word.

Laziness, especially in my prayer life is an obstacle. I sincerely pray for God’s intervention in my prayer life.
I believe God is showing me that He Loves us and He longs for me to get to know Him better.

Obstacles are business (especially)—a busy mind as well as lots of projects, ideas, activities. The other obstacle which can happen from time to time is being very tired and therefore not feeling like I can really listen as I should.
In my encounters with God, I would say that the predominant message is that He loves me unconditionally and that He is shaping me for His wonderfully divine purposes—that He is with me every step of the way as my Heavenly Father, Lover of my soul, my refuge, and steadfast, faithful Lord and friend. When I encounter Jesus, He shows me something of Himself, which is always a life-changing, transformative revelation.
