When I read Leviticus I was having a hard time thinking about the ‘time’ this was in – what the religious law was like, all the rituals they had and how scary it was to try and get close to God. I really want to see it from a different perspective and am looking forward to that. Yes I think this book is important cause it was Gods way of setting the tone for how he wants us to live a sinless life.

Many years ago I took and a survey of the Old Testament course. I found Leviticus read more like a legal code that consisted of religious and civil law at the time I read it it seemed quite comprehensive and a little laborious to read through. I am quite excited about this course because it is looking at the book from a different perspective. I think that Leviticus is very important because God was revealing Himself to a people that had very little knowlege about Him and what he expected after all they had be slaves for many years.
