The A-Team comments: 1) our inadequacy and total dependence on the Holy Spirit for Christian life and effective ministry; 2) the need to walk in constant relationship with God, listening for God’s voice, and responding to “God’s whisper”; 3) Rev. Power’s reminding us of the “pilot light” versus “whoosh” of the furnace—there is the sense that the Holy Spirit is powerful, but also the idea of “whoosh” suggests that we need to be open and free to what God is doing in a particular situation—even if it is not exactly what we had expected or planned for.

I resonate with all of the values—but I would say that the preeminence of Jesus is ultimately an expression of all the other values combined.

we need the fullness of the spirit daily. With each new day comes ever new challenges and alone we will never be ready for them without the fullness of the spirit. Each day we should seek the fullness and ask God is needed today. Its crazy to think about how far we fall short, yet God fulfills in us so we are enabled to do anything he asks.

Even more, believing that I am enabled to go out to the nations and reach all kinds of people is a crazy thing. I cannot believe how relationship with Jesus and how he fulfils us enables us to reach others no matter the boundary. Relationship triumphing Geography is something I resonate with because of how I’ve seen and heard the Gospel reach all kinds of people. we can be brothers and sisters in Christ with others from a totally different area and culture, and that is truely incredible

Building a culture of honor was something that I found really interesting. This is something that I have found we have been good at, but obviously we can always keep growing! I’ve appreciated the honor shown across generations. That young people honor those who come before and older generations honor those who are coming into their own as they seek to work and learn and become better servants.

The internal value I resonate with is that relationship trumps geography. I really appreciate the value of people over program or procedure in the ACOP and I feel personally that I have benefitted by ACOP leadership and their willingness to walk with me even from afar. The external core value that I resonate with is justice tempered with mercy. I really appreciate the way this is written. It is not just justice, or just mercy, and it is not even justice and mercy, but rather the value of how these two can go hand in hand as we walk with people and walk out our faith.
