- John’s epistles connect the incarnation and love. Jesus’s love for us isn’t just a feeling; it is embodied. The Elder’s constant refrain is for us to love like Jesus as he admonishes “Children, love one another.” How are you challenged by this call to embodied love? (God’s persistent and loyal love reaches Jesus, and his affection for us leads us to act of ultimate loyal love in his life, death, and resurrection.)
