Lesson 11 – Your Healing Ministry
Posted by ECO on October 26, 2021 at 4:10 pmIs your theology of healing based on things Jesus did not say? Is your healing belief structure Biblical? Do you believe you are able to heal the sick? When you read the New Testament and the miracles it describes, do you consider yourself willing or able to follow the example set by the disciples and apostles? What would it take for you to be convinced of your place in this ministry?
Reflect on these questions and answer in the discussion.

I believe I am able to heal the sick as the Word says and have experienced and seen people healed after praying for them. I also recognize that I experience an uncertainty also when people I have prayed for have not been healed. I have questioned where my faith stands in those circumstances and have wondered whether God wanted them healed. When I look at the boldness the disciples and apostles had I wonder about the strength or weakness of my faith for seeing people healed. I am encouraged by what I have learned in this lesson. It is God’s wish, His desire to see people healed and I need to trust Him to heal and for me to be obedient and trust Him for the healing.

Yes, my healing belief structure is Biblical. I believe God can use me to heal the sick. I have prayed for healing of others, and agree with Peter that once a prayer for healing has begun, the healing is in progress. I believe Jesus is the Great Physician and when we ask him to heal, he listens to our prayer and answers. I believe in laying on of hands, anointing with oil, and having a prayer of faith as some of the means to heal the sick. Some members of my church have been the recipient of my prayers for healing them. Yes, Jesus is with me and is the Healer of the sick. Some have been healed physically and others emotionally. I usually join with others to pray for a sick person. I would like to see my friend’s knee healed so she does not have to go through surgery. I will continue to pray in faith for this, fully trusting the Holy Spirit to accomplish it. I do trust God to continue in using me for this ministry.

@VGaffney we stand with you in praying for your friend’s knee. Whatever happens, do not grow weary in doing good.

My healing belief structure is Biblical. I believe that I am able to heal the sick. When I read the New Testament I do believe that I am able to do what the disciples and apostles did. But for me, I think a lack of faith and my own doubts is what hinders my ability to do so. I think I need to be more obedient to God and practice healing with my own brothers and sisters in Christ to gain confidence for healing unbelievers.

My theology of healing is actually structured on Jesus’ teaching and saying, not on things Jesus did not say.
Sure, my healing belief structure is Biblical of course.
After this course, coupled with faith, trust, prayer, the Holy Spirit and Holiness, i believe God will use me in the healing ministry. The key is to start, trust God, and never give up.
I believe with Jesus all things are possible for those that believe, even greater things will be done by us in Jesus name, amen.
I’m convinced that trusting God, and, faith, will keep me in a good place in this ministry.
